2026 Area Fireworks - Newark Independence Day Concert and Fireworks

Description

The evening’s celebration begins with popular local musical groups performing outside on the campus grounds. The crowd-favorite fireworks display begins at dusk to the accompaniment of patriotic favorites performed live. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free.​​ A number of local vendors will be serving food and beverages. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for a fun-filled evening of music and entertainment.

Event Details for July 3, 2026: Location: The Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre and the surrounding COTC/Ohio State Newark campus. Time: Festivities typically begin around 5 p.m. with live music and food vendors, culminating with fireworks at dusk (roughly 10 p.m.). Activities: Live musical entertainment, over 15–20 local food trucks and vendors, and a "crowd-favorite" fireworks display. Cost: Admission and parking are free. Important Rules: Space reservation on campus is not permitted before 10 a.m. on July 3, 2026. The campus is 100% tobacco-free and alcohol-free. Pets, grills, and personal fireworks are prohibited. The Ohio State University 2026 Milestone: The 2026 celebration is expected to be part of a larger, yearlong celebration marking the 55th anniversary of the partnership between Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark
